Pickleball has become the fastest growing racquet sport in the country, and many parks and clubs now share tennis courts with painted pickleball lines or have converted courts outright. Dedicated pickleball facilities, indoor and outdoor, rent courts by the hour and run open play sessions where players rotate in. Padel, played on an enclosed court with glass walls, is arriving in the Sun Belt and big cities; platform tennis (paddle) is a winter game on heated, elevated courts in the Northeast and Midwest; racquetball and squash live inside athletic clubs and YMCAs; badminton and table tennis have their own clubs in most metro areas. Equipment is cheap to rent or borrow for a first session at nearly all of them.

Syracuse is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Syracuse is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Visited for the first time for a tournament. Excellent facility with a thoughtful floorplan for players and spectators. The event was well-organized and the community is friendly and welcoming. Clean showers and a well-stocked pro shop. Walkways were a little tight with the crowds, but everyone was respectful. Thank you for an enjoyable experience!

I drove two hours to attend an event today, and nowhere on the website or at the location did it indicate that dogs were not allowed. Despite this, I was asked to leave the establishment because I had my dog with me. My dog is a very small Chihuahua, weighing no more than five pounds, and she was inside a small carrier the entire time. I respectfully tried to explain this to the manager, but she was very hostile and unwilling to listen. She insisted that I leave immediately without giving me the opportunity to clarify the situation. One of the employees even mentioned that, in their opinion, it would have been acceptable given how small my dog is and that she was secured inside a carrier, not causing any disturbance or inconvenience to anyone. I also checked the website and the premises, and there were no visible signs or notices stating that dogs are not permitted. This experience was very disappointing, especially after traveling such a long distance. I would strongly recommend that policies be clearly communicated online and at the entrance to prevent situations like this in the future. βββββ I was not allowed to leave a comment, so I will respond here. ππ» I did speak wit
